Greetings Sena High Graduates and Parents,

I appreciate your patience and understanding as we develop a graduation ceremony for our students. We realize that we cannot accommodate everyone’s schedules or prior commitments and for that we apologize.

The logistics and details are outlined below and we ask that you adhere to them. We needed to consider traffic flow, safety concerns, as well as time spent in the line of cars. Therefore, we ask that you follow these procedures and expectations.

We know you will not be in alphabetical order as you are in your cars and that is fine, we will be able to get your diploma and have it ready by the time you reach the back of the school.

DRIVING ROUTE/MAP:

1. Meet at the old babiesRus by 8:30am
2. At 9am we will begin the procession
3. Leave the parking lot and take a right onto Hotel Circle NE
4. Take the second right, to the back gate of Sena High
5. After receiving diploma, continue through the NE gate to the front of the school
6. Exit out of school parking lot, and take a right towards Lomas.

SAFETY:

• EVERYONE is required to wear a facemask as ordered by the NM Health Dept. Diplomas will not be issued to students without a mask.  You MUST be wearing a mask if you exit the car to pick up your diploma.  If you are not wearing a mask, we will hand the diploma to someone inside the car.
• Gloves are NOT required. Maintain 6ft distance (social distancing measures) staff from students basically, so no hugging, sorry guys
• Hand sanitizer will be used after each diploma is issued, no handshakes, but a fist bump is OK

VEHICLE INFO:

• One vehicle per graduate is allowed
• DO NOT HONK and be loud UNTIL AFTER your graduate’s name is announced. Families will not be able to hear the announcement of the graduate if everyone is honking
• Graduating Students should exit the car, have their name read and proceed to pick up diploma
• After the diploma is received, family should proceed to exit Sena High
• Students and families are WELCOME TO DECORATE THEIR CARS

ATTIRE:

• Students are encouraged to wear their caps and gowns

PHOTOGRAPHY/VIDEO:

• Students will get their photo taken when they receive their diploma at the car
• We will be video taping the drive-thru and will be providing the recording to the students.
• We will also Facebook Live the procession as well as the Valedictorian’s speech.

If you do not come to the drive-thru graduation, we will have diplomas available to be picked up Monday - Thursday next week from 9:30 - 1:30 at the front office at Sena High.  Those who cannot come pick them up, please let us know so other arrangements can be made.
