Sena High currently has an immediate opening for a Governance Council member.  This position is volunteer based.  There is only ONE meeting per month!  The meetings generally occur the last Tuesday of the month beginning at 5:05 pm.  If you are interested in volunteering for this great opportunity, please contact Nadine Torres or Michelle Tudor at (505) 237-2374.
Mary Louise Sena, Ph.D.

Dr. Sena is the current board President and has completed 40 years in the field of Education as Teacher, Principal, Director of Special Education, Associate Director at two charter schools, Director of the Southwest Comprehensive Center, and Associate Director of Center for the Education and Study of Diverse Populations. She has served as adjunct faculty at UNM and NMHU and currently operates Sena Consultants, a private consultancy focusing primarily on Charter Schools and leadership development.

Tanya Otero-Villalobos

Mrs. Otero-Villalobos is the current board Secretary and has been a Governance Council member for 3 years. She came on board as a parent representative in August of 2011. Married with 5 children; 3 daughters who graduated from both Public and Charter school systems, a son in middle school and her youngest daughter who is a student at Sena High. In addition to being involved and supportive of her children’s schooling, extracurricular activities and personal growth, she works in Community Development at PB&J Family Services with focus on receiving her licensure as a Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) at the end of 2012.
